"Crowd At The Danbury Fair"
The Great Danbury State Fair was a Connecticut landmark from 1869 to 1981. Two pieces of John Leahy's statuary look out over the crowd during Fairweek. One of the two farmer statues at the fair looks southwest towards the Danbury Airport, while Paul Bunyan smiles at the Northeast. The fairgrounds were located in Southwestern Danbury; the site is now occupied by the Danbury Fair Mall.
